DO YOU KNOW THAT BITTER FOODS ARE GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH?

Here are a few of the health benefits of bitter foods.

1. Helps to absorb nutrients
While bitterness is often perceived as unpleasant, the interaction between bitter constituents in foods and our
bitter taste receptors stimulate the
production of gastric acid in the stomach. This helps prime the stomach for the food it is about to encounter.
Bitter foods and herbs help to
stimulate digestive juices and support food digestion,
Bitter foods help stimulate our taste receptors on the
tongue, which subsequently stimulates enzyme
production and bile flow. The better your food is
digested, the more nutrients you will absorb from your
food. It doesn't matter what you eat, if you can't absorb
it, it won't be of much benefit to you. We often
recommend eating a dandelion salad for people with
digestive problems.

2. Balances taste buds and controls that sweet tooth
The more bitter greens we eat, the more bitter greens we
want. Bitter foods are thought to reduce food cravings
and aid in weight loss.

3. Cleanses the body
Bitter roots and veggies contain fiber to help sweep
wastes through the digestive tract. Bitter foods also
contain sulfur-based compounds which support the
natural detoxification pathways in the liver; helping it to
do what it is meant to do – keep your body clean and
clear.

4. Stimulates metabolism
Bitter foods and herbs like green tea have been shown to
boost metabolism. Drinking green tea is one of the
easiest ways to rev up your metabolism. A study shows
that green tea-extract increases the metabolism by 4%
over a 24-hour period. Green tea has also been shown to
inhibit fat absorption—the movement of glucose into fat
cells, [support healthy] glucose levels after eating a
meal, prevent insulin spikes which prevents fat storage,
and reduce appetite. People that choose sweet foods
over bitter foods are also at risk for metabolic syndrome.

5. Fights free radicals and stimulates immune function
Recent studies have shown that bitter foods, including
dark chocolate, can help fight free radicals in the body.
Of course, Bitter foods pack plenty of nutrition into each
bite. For instance, beta- carotene for healthy skin; folate
for a healthy nervous system; vitamin K for healthy blood
clotting and phyto-chemicals for healthy inflammation
response, managing cholesterol,
balance hormones, detoxify the blood and metabolizes
fats. Many greens are also mineral rich; gentle cooking
will help make those minerals more available to the
human body.

There are a wide variety of bitter foods and herbs. Some
of them are best taken as a tea to help your body
register the bitter taste to get the digestive juices
flowing.

Some bitter foods and herbs include:
*Bitter leaf
*Dark chocolate
*Coffee
*Nettles
*Dill
*Dandelion
*Watercress
*Bitter melon and gourd
*Leafy greens
*Barley
*Basil

ADRENALINE

Adrenaline is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands during high stress or exciting situations. This powerful hormone is part of the human body's acute stress response system, also called the "fight or flight" response. It works by stimulating the heart rate, contracting blood vessels, and dilating air passages, all of which work to increase blood flow to the muscles and oxygen to the lungs. Additionally, it is used as a medical treatment for some potentially life-threatening conditions including anaphylactic shock. In the US, the medical community largely refers to this hormone as epinephrine, although the two terms may be used interchangeably.

The Adrenal Glands

The adrenal glands are found directly above the kidneys in the human body, and are roughly 3 inches (7.62 cm) in length. Adrenaline is one of several hormones produced by these glands. Along with norepinephrine and dopamine, it is a catecholamine, which is a group of hormones released in response to stress. These three hormones react with various body tissues, preparing the body to react physically to the stress causing situation.

The Fight or Flight Response

The term "fight or flight" is often used to characterize the body's reaction to very stressful situations. It is an evolutionary adaptation that allows the body to react to danger quickly. Dilated air passages, for example, allow the body to get more oxygen into the lungs quickly, increasing physical performance for short bursts of time. The blood vessels contract in most of the body, which redirects the blood toward the heart, lungs, and major muscle groups to help fuel the reaction.
When a person encounters a potentially dangerous situation, the hypothalamus in the brain signals the adrenal glands to release adrenaline and other hormones directly into the bloodstream. The body's systems react to these hormones within seconds, giving the person a nearly instant physical boost. Strength and speed both increase, while the body's ability to feel pain decreases. This hormonal surge is often referred to as an "adrenaline rush."

Side Effects

In addition to a noticeable increase in strength and performance, this hormone typically causes heightened awareness and increased respiration. The person may also feel lightheaded, dizzy, and experience changes in vision. These effects can last up to an hour, depending on the situation.
When there is stress but no actual danger, a person can be left feeling restless and irritable. This is partly because adrenaline causes the body to release glucose, raising blood sugar, and giving the body energy that has no outlet. Many people find it beneficial to "work off" the adrenaline rush after a particularly stressful situation. In the past, people handled this naturally through fighting or other physical exertion, but in the modern world, high-stress situations often arise that involve little physical activity. Exercise can use up this extra energy.
Though adrenaline can play a key role in the body's survival, it can also cause detrimental effects over time. Prolonged and heightened levels of the hormone can put enormous pressure on the heart muscle and can, in some cases, cause heart failure. Additionally, it may cause the hippocampus to shrink. High levels of adrenaline in the blood can lead to insomnia and jittery nerves, and are often an indicator of chronic stress.

Medical Uses

First synthesized in 1904, adrenaline is a common treatment for anaphylaxis, also known as anaphylactic shock. It can be quickly administered to people showing signs of severe allergic reactions, and some people with known severe allergies carry epinephrine auto-injectors in case of an emergency. For these individuals, dosage should be assigned by a licensed medical professional in advance, and instructions should be given on how and where it should be administered.
Adrenaline is also one of the main drugs used to treat low cardiac output — the amount of blood the heart pumps — and cardiac arrest. It can stimulate the muscle and increases the person's heart rate. In addition, by concentrating blood in the vital organs, including the heart, lungs, and brain, it helps increase the chances that the person will recover more fully.

EmeXperimet: Make an Egg Float in Salt Water

An egg sinks to the bottom if you drop it into a glass of ordinary drinking water but what happens if you add salt? The results are very interesting and can teach you some fun facts about density.

What you'll need:
*.One egg
*.Water
*.Salt
*.A tall drinking glass

Instructions:
1.Pour water into the glass until it is about half full.

2.Stir in lots of salt (about 6 tablespoons).

3.Carefully pour in plain water until the glass is nearly full (be careful to not disturb or mix the salty water with the plain water).

4.Gently lower the egg into the water and watch what happens.

What's happening?

Salt water is denser than ordinary tap water, the denser the liquid the easier it is for an object to float in it. When you lower the egg into the liquid it drops through the normal tap water until it reaches the salty water, at this point the water is dense enough for the egg to float. If you were careful when you added the tap water to the salt water, they will not have mixed, enabling the egg to amazingly float in the middle of the glass.

Scientists Find Heaven By Accident??

Scientists at the Icelandic university have discovered the location of heaven.

The discovery came about accidentally when scientists where looking at antimatter from space in a ultraviolet light. They observed the antimatter and recorded the event in a alternative wavelength frequency on to a computer disk.

While observing the content of the antimatter at a molecule level, they discovered that various lifeforms existed inside the matter. They where able to determine that some of the lifeforms resemble Earth like lifeforms, buton a much smaller scale.

Heavenly warehouse

The scientist also found out that the storage method for the lifeforms is highly evolved. They compared the best known compression algorithms known to man and concluded thatthey where about 0.000001% effective compared to the antimatter storage method.

Concluding theory

The scientists also concluded that antimatter is expanding at an alarming rate and that the physical universe is contracting likewise, being compressed by expanding antimatter. One scientist Mr. Pétur Njálgson was quoted saying "Some of us feel that when antimatter takes over the universe, it will implode into a tiny rock that will explode later into a new bigbang." He went on to say "the implications of this are enormous."

Side effects

Two of the scientist taking part in the experiment have fallen mentally ill. They have apparently suffered a extreme case of Schizophrenia. They are not expected to make it through the year. The team leader was quoted saying "Apparently heaven should not be observed by mortals." The resulted recording have been locked in a bank volt andwill not be studied further.

(This is gonna be long but I'll advice you o patiently read through so you can get a better result )

How To Heal Pimples Fast And Naturally
Use the following steps

Steps

1. Cut back on eating refined carbohydrates (bread, pasta, etc) . Also, cut back on eating sugar (any sugar, a little natural sugars might be okay).

2. Take fermented foods (sauerkraut, kefir, goat cheese, or natural yogurt) and/or take a good pro-biotic and enzymes .

3. Stop using your cleansers, face creams, makeups, etc . If you are going to use these, get natural products.

4. Eat more veggies ! They clean your blood of toxins that cause the acne.

5. WATER ! Get 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water.

6. Move around . Trampoline is a great way to move your lymphatic system. Running or jump roping is also good.

7. Take a multivitamin each day .

8. Do this three times a day :

Get the materials you need. You will need a face cloth, a hand towel, mild facial soap (bar or liquid), and working water (hot and cold). *The milder the soap the better-irritation will only cause more acne.

Wet down your face cloth with hot water. The water has to be so hot, the face cloth steams. Be careful not to burn your hands, though! When the face cloth is steaming, wring out the water, and place it on your face. This will open your pores. Repeat this process twice. Make sure your eyes are closed.

After opening your pores, quickly wash down your cloth again with hot water and put soap on it. Then gently wash your entire face, but concentrate on the infected areas. Let the lather rest for about 30 seconds. While waiting, wash your cloth down again with hot water thoroughly.

Wipe the lather from your face thoroughly. Make sure none is left over.

Rinse the cloth with cold water. Make sure the cloth is VERY cold. Then place it on your face. This will close your pores. Dry your face with the towel, but don't rub, just dab the water off.

Tips

Avoid touching your face.

Avoid eating high glycemic foods like potatoes and peanuts.

Drink lots of water! It flushes toxins from your body and helps clear your skin.

OPTIONAL : Exercise a bit more. It can really help relieve stress and acne.

Rub your face with baby powder before bed and in the mornings. This dries up blemishes and help prevent face invaders.

Warnings

If your skin doesn't clear up in a day, don't worry! It doesn't mean the method isn't working. Skin doesn't clear automatically just because you've washed your face once.
Things You'll Need

Soap

Facecloth

Hand towel

Working water

WHO KNEW CUCUMBERS COULD DO ALL THIS!!!

1. Fat busting : Do you ever wonder why women put cucumbers on their eyes to relieve puffiness? The photochemical in cucumbers makes the collagen in your skin tighten, thus the lack of puffiness. Did you know that you can rub a cucumber on a problematic spot of cellulite anywhere on your body to lessen the visibility of it? Did you also know that it has the same effect on wrinkles? Wow, it makes purchasing those fifty dollar creams seem a little silly, doesn’t it? You can also rub a little bit under your kiddo’s eyes after a long bout of crying to avoid that puffy ‘I cried for an hour straight’look.

2. Defogger: Do you get annoyed when you get out of the shower and you have to fightthe fog on the mirror? Who has time for that when the kids will be awake at any moment? Try rubbing a slice of cucumber on the mirror before you hop in and not only will you get a fog-free mirror, but you’ll have a nice smell that will boost your mood.

3. Headaches: If you suffer from headaches from chasing your babies all day (or pets or your husband), or had a little too much wine with dinner and want to avoid a hangover, eat half of a cucumber before bed. Cucumbers are high in B vitamins, sugar, and electrolytes, and they replenish the nutrients missing in your body to help you avoid a hang over or to beat that headache that’s been threatening to take over.

4. WD-40 replacement: Did you know you can get rid of a squeak by rubbing a cucumber on the hinge? Wow, now you don’t have to tear your garage apart looking for that little can with the red straw, and the baby won’t wake up when you slowly open the nursery door to check on him.

5. Crayon on the walls: Take an unpeeled cucumber and rub the crayon off of the walls in the event that your kiddo left you some art. You can also use this technique to erase a pen mistake.

6. Halitosis killer: Take a slice of cucumber and put it on the roof of your mouth. Hold it here with your tongue for 30 seconds. The photochemical that you love for cellulite and puff reduction will also kill the bacteria that is causing your bad breath.

7. Tarnish remover: If you’re finding tarnish on your stainless steel kitchen faucets and appliances? Rub it off with a cucumber slice. Not only will it remove years of tarnish, it will leave it streak free and your hands will thank you, and your kids won’t be put at risk from a dangerous chemical.

8. Energy booster: If you’re feeling tired in the afternoon, don’t give Starbucks your five bucks. Instead, grab a cucumber. There are just enough carbohydrates and B vitamins to give you a longer-lasting and healthier boost of energy than soda, coffee, or those health hazard energy drinks.

9. Munchy madness: Did you know that European trappers ate cucumbers for energy and to keep from starving to death? If those big burly manly men can eat a cucumber to keep from starving, you can eat one as a healthy choice when the munchies hit. Slice some up and take them in a small plastic container to the movies if your theater doesn’t offer healthy alternatives to munching on butter soaked popcorn.

10. Frugal facial: Slice up a cucumber and boil it in a pot of water. The chemicals inside of the cucumber will mix with the steam. Remove the pot from heat and lean over it, letting the steam hit you. Your skin will be more radiant and healthy, and you will feel relaxed and rejuvenated.

11. Shoe polish: Cut a slice off of your cucumber and rub it on your shoe. It will not only shine it up, but it will repel water.

12. Pest control: Put three or four slices of cucumber in a small pie tin and place them in your garden. The chemicals in the cucumber have a reaction that pests hate. You won’t smell it, but it will drive them from your garden all year long. Replace them periodically.

13. Sunburn: Sometimes sun block doesn’t always protect your little ones from sunburn. If you have burnt little kiddos you don’t have any aloe, rub some cucumber on them. Many doctors even use cucumber to treat patients with irritated skin and sunburns.

14. Blood pressure: Cucumber has been long used to treat high blood pressure. If you have it, add cucumbers to your daily diet. There is also ongoing research into the use of cucumbers for lowering cholesterol.

15. Constipation remedy: The seeds of a cucumber are a diuretic. If you’re constipated, try eating a cucumber. If you suffer from chronic constipation, add cucumber to your daily diet

Isn't it Amazing??
